Precari is Latin for begging, praying or wishing. It is related to the word precarious which means dependent on uncertain conditions.
The series is about the body's vulnerability and has a performative character with bodily imprints in the wet filler. The material circumstances of the body's situation are crucial for the human subject's experience of himself and its relation to the outside world. Circumstances, or conditions that are wholly or partly beyond its control, which cannot be ignored, but on the contrary require an active approach.
 

This work shows the imprint of my left and right cheek. We rest our head against the cheek when we go to sleep. The white filler and the size of the work can give the association of pillows and two figures lying facing each other. They are close but still separated. It may indicate a relationship but also an inner drama.

Res Ipsa is an compilation of works made by some kind of action shaping the filler once it is prepared inside the frame. The works thus function as a recording device and give a statement of the event taking place while the filler was still wet.

Res Ipsa is Latin for "the thing itself" and is part of the juridical term "Res ipsa loquitur" (the thing speaks for itself), used when an injury or accident in itself clearly shows who is responsible, such as an instrument left inside a body after surgery.
